Dear Editor: When I read recently that the Salvation Army was $39,000 below its kettle collections from past year, I was perplexed.
Numerous toys will be distributed Tuesday morning as families taking part in the "Angel Tree" outreach pick up toys, so their children will have gifts under the tree Christmas Day. I think we exceeded that.
According to a photo provided by the Salvation Army, the check was dated December 14 in the amount of $200,000.
