President Donald Trump won't be making a trip across the pond to open the new U.S. Embassy in London.
And indeed, it's not clear that Trump's allegations of a "bad deal" on the new embassy passes the sniff test.
Prime Minister Theresa May invited Trump for a state visit when she met with him at the White House soon after he took office previous year.
In fact, the decision to move the embassy to Nine Elms in south London was made by the George W. Bush Administration.
In a statement on Friday, London's mayor Sadiq Khan said that Trump's planned visit for next month would have "without doubt have been met by mass peaceful protests". "It seems he's finally got that message", Khan tweeted.
"Bad deal", Trump continued.
As President Donald Trump waxed lyrical about why he would be axing plans to travel to Britain to open a new American embassy, a waxwork stand-in appeared more than ready to oversee the launch.

The invitation by May was extended to Trump during her visit to the USA on January 27, 2017, sparking criticism in the United Kingdom due to the new president's controversial travel ban on seven Muslim-majority countries.
In 2009, the Obama State Department agreed to sell the Grosvenor Square building where the US embassy was located to the Qatar royal family.
Since taking office, Trump has had an icy relationship with the leaders of one of the U.S' closest allies.
"It didn't matter whether they lived in an 18th-century house or on a 20th-century street corner", Lois Peltz, the head of the neighborhood group, said in the newspaper's report at the time. One YouGov survey found some 55% of British people who were polled were not interested in hosting the United States president.
"But the site was compromised, rather small and was a nightmare for people living and working in the area with the various security restrictions that had to be imposed", he said.
