Former Trump Campaign Aide Flips On Grand Jury Testimony

  • Spill it The unnamed witness must hand over communication between themselves and a number of Trump staffers- most of them former- including Hope Hicks and Steve Bannon

Nunberg was an early Trump adviser, but they parted ways early in the campaign. Nunberg was an advisor to Trump, but was sacked from the campaign in July 2015 after racist social media posts of his emerged (you'd think that would have gotten him a promotion instead).

In a series of extraordinary live interviews on Monday, former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg claimed the president "may have done something" illegal during the 2016 race for the White House.

Later Nunberg told CNN "I'm not a Donald Trump fan [.] he treated me like crap". "I'm not going to let them just hurt Roger for no reason".

Nunberg said, "I know Bob Mueller".

Tur then asked how he knew that. 'Officer, I'm a busy man, I don't have time to walk you out to the third storage drain north of my barn!

"I think it would be amusing if they arrested me".

Former Trump aide Sam Nunberg called into both MSNBC and CNN today to talk about his refusal to comply with a subpoena issued to him in connection with Robert Mueller's investigation. Well, I'd like to have a dime or even a nickel for every person who has had a cocktail before appearing on TV. Russian Federation has denied the allegations and Mr Trump has said there was no collusion between Moscow and his campaign.

He said he had been interviewed by the team of Mr Mueller for more than five hours late last month. "They know something on [Trump] ... I could be wrong, by the way".

"Screw that", he told her. "So I have to spend 80 hours going over e-mails?" "He was a name on a list", Nunberg said.

He also said his move wasn't to protect the President. Rather than daring the special prosecutor to throw him in jail and repeatedly asserting that he is "not cooperating", Nunberg sounded chastened and said he was diligently working to aggregate the emails the subpoena demanded.

"The Russians and Trump did not collude", Nunberg said.

"I think your family wants you home for Thanksgiving, and I think you should testify", MSNBC legal expert Maya Wiley told Nunberg after he maintained his position on the subpoena.

Burnett asked if he had consumed "anything else", to which Nunberg replied "no", adding the only drug he had taken were his prescribed antidepressants.

United States intelligence has said those documents were illicitly obtained by or on behalf of the Russian government. "Roger is my mentor. I'm not going to do it".

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders blasted Nunberg on Monday and refuted any suggestion that the campaign colluded with Russian Federation.

It's unclear why Nunberg so quickly changed his mind.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders downplayed any claims of misconduct on the President's part. Laughing, he said that "my lawyer is about to dump me right now".

During the campaign, Trump mentioned Page by name as one of his foreign policy advisers. "He hasn't worked at the White House, so I can't speak to him or the lack of knowledge he clearly has".
