NFL Media's Ian Rapoport says the Browns traded Kizer to Green Bay as part of the trade involving cornerback Demetrious Randall. The deal can't become official until the start of the new league year on Wednesday.

As one quarterback comes in for the Cleveland Browns, another leaves town.

In one trade, the Green Bay Packers made two intentions clear: Brett Hundley won't be handed the backup quarterback job again, and they're serious about overhauling their defense. Randall was the 30th overall pick in 2015 and 10 interceptions in 39 games, 30 of which were starts.

Kizer's trade capped a dizzying few hours on the final Friday of the league year for the Browns, who also pulled off deals to acquire quarterback Tyrod Taylor from Buffalo and star wide receiver Jarvis Landry from Miami.

As Schefter also noted, the Browns could still have plenty of moves on the way.

The Toledo, Ohio, native completed 255 of 476 passes for 2,894 yards and 11 touchdowns. Kizer had an NFL-high 22 interceptions as well as nine fumbles (six lost) in his first season.

However, Kizer rarely looked comfortable in the pocket, partly because teams were constantly blitzing him, and he was sacked 38 times.

After a miserable rookie year in Cleveland, Kizer may actually have a chance to learn and develop his game while handling clipboard duties behind Aaron Rodgers.

The Green Bay Packers certainly didn't trade Damarious Randall on Friday night for salary cap reasons.

A year ago, quarterback DeShone Kizer was a borderline first-round prospect.

Smith caught 36 passes for 430 yards and two touchdowns in the 2017 regular season and added 13 receptions for 157 yards and one score in the Eagles' playoff run to the Super Bowl crown.
