Kenya7s are through to the Vancouver Sevens Main Cup Semi-finals after beating England 12-0 in the quarter-final at the BC Place Stadium, Vancouver on Sunday. In their final match of the day, Canada beat Uruguay 47-5 but just missed out on a place in the Cup quarter-finals after Australia beat the US 31-21 in the Pool A closer.

England looked set to take a 7-5 lead into half-time, but a late Will Edwards try in stoppage time stretched their margin out to 14-5.

Joe Ravouvou's try with 90 seconds remaining meant it sat 21-17 in the closing stages, however England held on to end a seven-game losing streak against the men in black.

On the artificial surface inside BC Place, in their opening fixture in Canada against Wales, England ran in six tries including a hat-trick for Dan Norton and two from Ollie Lindsay-Hague in a 36-5 win.

Kenya reached the semis with a 12-0 win over England, while the U.S. thrashed New Zealand 17-0.

Despite Phil Burgess' score, a number of clinical offloads saw Samoa beat England 21-5 as the final round of games could then see three teams finish top of the pool. Samoa join Wales in the Challenge Trophy.
