Authorities have said all 11 people on board the plane died in the crash but so far, only 10 bodies have been recovered.

There were three crew members and eight passengers in the plane, according to Public Relations of the OVA.

The search teams faced difficulties in reaching the site as it was a mountainous region.

The Turkish private plane's crash in western Iran could have been caused by an engine fire, Mojtaba Khalidi, spokesman for the Emergency Center said on Sunday.

Rescuers were dispatched to the scene in a remote part of the Zagros mountain range, 230 miles south of the capital Tehran.

Turkey's state-run news agency Anadolu quoted a statement from the country's Ministry of Transport, in which it stated that the aircraft had crashed soon after making a call about an unspecified "technical failure".

By late on Sunday evening, just a few hours after news of the crash, there were more than 7,000 comments on the photo.

At around 6:01 p.m something appears to have gone wrong with the flight as it rapidly gained altitude and then dropped drastically within minutes, data published on the website showed.

The plane was flying from Sharjah of the UAE to Istanbul which disappeared from the radar, the state IRINN TV said. Sharjah is a neighboring emirate of Dubai.

Turkey's private Dogan News Agency identified the plane as a Bombardier CL604, tail number TC-TRB. It was reportedly owned by Basaran Holding, a company active in construction and building luxury yachts.

Turkish media reported that Mina Basaran, the 28-year-old daughter of tycoon Huseyin Basaran, had spent several days in the UAE with friends celebrating ahead of her wedding next month.

On Thursday she posted a photograph on Instagram showing her standing on the tarmac in front of the plane wearing a jacket that says '#bettertogether Mrs Bride'.
