Police said 39-year-old Nasim Najafi Aghdam from San Diego was behind yesterday's shooting at YouTube's offices in Silicon Valley, south of San Francisco, where the company owned by Alphabet Inc's Google employs almost 2,000 people.

On Jan. 28, Aghdam recorded a video of herself lamenting her perceived "discrimination" by YouTube, particularly railing on how YouTube determined her ab workout video was too racy and, therefore, filtered it.

Details are emerging about the woman behind the YouTube headquarters shooting Tuesday that injured three people in San Bruno, California.

"Our family is in absolute shock", he wrote, "and can't make sense of what happened yesterday".

As officers entered they found one victim at the front of the building with an apparent gunshot wound, Jackson said.

San Diego sheriff's Lt. Karen Stubkjaer said Thursday that the father never told deputies that she was a danger to herself or others when he reported her missing.

During their Thursday morning broadcast, Fox & Friends reported that police had found Aghdam asleep in her vehicle.

But police are investigating a website that appears to show the same woman accusing YouTube of restricting her videos, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Nasim Aghdam had a large internet presence, before her clips and account was deleted in the aftermath of the shooting.

Police said Aghdam had legally purchased a 9 millimeter Smith and Wesson semi-automatic handgun.

At the well-manicured apartment complex in San Diego where Aghdam lived with her grandmother, neighbors described her eccentricities. Police found her auto overnight at a Mountain View parking lot, about 30 miles southeast of YouTube headquarters. "I did the best I can to avoid it but the cop didn't do their job", her brother insisted in an interview with this news agency.

Officers in Mountain View found her sleeping in her auto early Tuesday.

"Our officers made contact with the woman after the license plate of her vehicle matched that of a missing person out of Southern California. There was nothing in her behavior that suggested anything unusual", said Mountain View Police Chief Max Bosel. She gave no reason but said she was its only member and the group had no assets.

Hossein Naderi, a 23-year-old art student in Tehran, questioned why Aghdam chose to "live in the USA, though she didn't like it there", adding: "I wish I was there to use YouTube freely".

Police tape is shown outside of a YouTube office building in San Bruno, Calif., Wednesday, April 4, 2018. It opens at 11 a.m. and is about a 10-minute drive from YouTube headquarters.

"She would yell from the balcony and say we were nasty", Sanford-Salar said.

At YouTube, a worker could be seen tearing down the police tape that had cordoned off an entrance to the outdoor patio area where Aghdam opened fire.

The full extent of the violent designs that Aghdam had for the online video giant are still being explored.

Nasim Aghdam, an Iranian native who was in her late 30s, posted the videos under the online name Nasime Sabz, and a website in that name decried YouTube's policies, saying the company was trying to "suppress" content creators.

She had more than 5,000 subscribers on her most popular YouTube channel, had multiple channels as well as an Instagram page.

Barberini added that Aghdam's auto has been impounded and is being examined but that investigators have not recovered any letter or manifesto forecasting the shooting.

The concerns started over the weekend when Aghdam stopped answering her phone, her brother told CNN affiliate KGTV.

How did the girl who grew up in Iran worshipping every insect become the woman who indiscriminately shot into a crowd of terrified YouTube employees who had been enjoying lunch on a sunny Silicon Valley patio?
